The full name for this small green area at the bottom of Mostyn Street is North Western Gardens, but it is known locally as ‘Bog Island’ due to the underground toilets that are situated here. The area was originally the private gardens of the North Western Hotel, hence the name. The newly installed statue of the White Rabbit can be seen to the left of the tree.
